Countdown to Twelve Chicks!!

Little Footprints Learning Center is the proud parent of twelve fertilized chicken eggs.  They are warm and safe in our new incubator that has been placed in the school office.   A chart has been placed in the school hallway so we can count down the days until they hatch!  It takes twenty one days for them to incubate and we have seventeen more to go!  Mrs. Dolbier dressed as a farmer and read a book to the school entitled, Hatching Chicks in Room 6 and then we watched a short YouTube video about chickens.  Now that we know all about chicks, we can’t wait to have them hatch, name them, take care of them and watch them grow!!!!
